CAREER & EXPERIENCE:
Adeel Ghayur is the Director & Chief Technology Officer of Allied Biorefinery, a sister company of Allied Green Ammonia. He brings over two decades of experience in management, policy, and research, spanning industry, government, academia, and non-governmental organisations across Asia, Europe, and Australia.
As CTO, Adeel spearheads the technological strategy and innovation for our cutting-edge refinery, ensuring both efficiency and sustainability. He collaborates with cross-functional teams and engages with a diverse range of stakeholders to achieve stated goals.
Adeel is also the Adjunct Associate Professor at the University of Southern Queensland. As RD&D manager he has successfully led multimillion and multi-university projects. As a policy expert, he has contributed to the strategy development processes for energy and technology. As an executive, he has streamlined operations, implemented innovative processes, enhanced productivity, and developed effective partnerships with diverse stakeholders.
QUALIFICATION AND RECOGNITION:
Prof. Ghayur holds a Post-Doctorate in Advanced Biomanufacturing (Australia) and a Ph.D. in Circular Bioeconomy (Australia). He earned his M.Phil. in Biorefinery Engineering (U.K.), has a Master’s degree in Systems Engineering (Australia), and a Bachelor’s (Hons.) degree in Computer Engineering (U.K.).
Prof. Ghayur is internationally acclaimed as a trailblazer in the field of renewable fuels and chemicals. Among his most notable breakthroughs are the development of the Orycycle Model for perpetual recyclability within an economy, the invention of Lignik, the world’s first biosynthetic wood made from carbon dioxide, and the engineering of the world’s first microbial process for biosynthetic solar cells.
