Técnicas Reunidas S.A. Begins Green Hydrogen and Ammonia Production Facility Scope in Australia

  • Project Development Agreement (PDA) has been signed with Allied Green Ammonia, an Australian company, to initiate the basic engineering and design of a Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia production facility in the Northern Territory, Australia.
  • Once financial closure is reached, the execution of the project will commence with commercial operation planned for 2028.

Técnicas Reunidas S. A. and Allied Green Ammonia Pty. Ltd. have agreed to commence the first phases of Green Hydrogen and Green Ammonia production facilities in Northern Territory, Australia.

The Basic Engineering Design (BED) and Front-End Engineering Design (FEED) works are to commence shortly for the proposed production facility which will produce 165,000 tons of green hydrogen annually, which will be used to produce 912,500 tons of green ammonia annually.

The facility will contribute substantially to the ecological transition and provide important environmental advantages. Apart from being used for fertilizer, ammonia is an essential emission free green fuel when produced sustainably.
